Daniel Pompilio
Founder & Executive Chairman, Board of Managers
As a seasoned technology entrepreneur based in Atlanta, Daniel Pompilio brings over 25 years of experience in corporate strategy, sales, and marketing, having held executive roles at N.V. Phillips, IBM, and Healtheon/WebMD. In 1992, he co-founded ActaMed Corporation, which merged to form Healtheon in 1999 and later acquired WebMD. In 2000, he founded enLeague Systems, pioneering the use of ontology to enhance eBusiness transactions and leading it as Chairman and CEO through its entry into the Coca-Cola/Fizzion business accelerator.
Currently, Daniel serves on Emory University’s Board of Visitors and has been actively involved with the Goizueta Business School and the Cobb County Strategic Information Technology Council. A dedicated supporter of Georgia’s tech community, he has invested in over twelve startups and co-authored the Angel Tax Credit and Invest Georgia Bills.
As the Founder of SimpleC, Daniel leads innovations in technology-enhanced behavioral therapies for individuals facing challenges with aging or traumatic life events. His contributions have been recognized with the Emory Goizueta Business School’s Alumni Entrepreneurship Award in 2004. Daniel holds an EMBA from Emory University and a degree in Business from The University of Georgia.
Kevin Henze
President & CEO
Kevin is an accomplished healthcare executive based in the Atlanta area, with 20 years of diverse experience in healthcare and management consulting across various segments, including health tech, urgent and primary care clinics, physician groups, hospitals, government health agencies, and commercial health insurance. At SimpleC, Kevin spearheads operations, strategy, business development, and growth initiatives.
Before joining SimpleC, Kevin served as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at CRH Healthcare, one of the largest on-demand care organizations in the eastern U.S. There, he successfully built new service lines, optimized existing services, expanded partner relationships, and drove significant financial and operational improvements. His prior role as Senior Director at United Digestive, the largest gastroenterology practice in the Southeast, involved overseeing operations and growth for 25 clinics and ambulatory surgery centers, managing over 250 clinicians and support staff. Additionally, as Director of Hospital Medicine at Emory Healthcare, he led the development of fast-growing programs across 11 hospitals, coordinating more than 300 providers and staff.
Kevin began his career at Deloitte Consulting LLP, where he guided industry executives through large-scale strategy and operations transformations. He holds an MBA from Duke University and a BBA from Emory University.
Doug Nelson
VP & CTO
As Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at SimpleC, Doug Nelson spearheads the architectural design and integration of innovative care solutions. With 20 years of IT experience and over a decade as an enterprise architect, Doug has a proven track record of delivering highly integrated systems that have generated $2 billion in annual revenue.
His previous roles at BellSouth Mobility, GE Power Systems, and Royal Caribbean have equipped him with extensive expertise in scalable solutions for large corporate environments. Doug brings best practices, robust processes, and high-performance standards to SimpleC.
His proficiency in open-source technologies, mobility, offline data synchronization, and clustered systems has been instrumental in developing SimpleC’s next-generation care solutions. Doug is a proud graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology
Jun Ying
CPO
Jun is a global IT leader with a passion for technology-driven innovation, blending deep technical expertise with business strategy. He brings decades of experience leading large-scale teams and initiatives across healthcare, enterprise, and consumer tech.
Most recently, Jun served as CTO of Keenly Health, an innovative digital health startup developing non-contact bio-monitoring solutions. Earlier in his career, he was part of the founding team at WebLogic (later acquired by Oracle), founded Merisoft to help companies like GE and Caribbean Cruise Line go digital, and held senior technology roles at The Coca-Cola Company, partnering with firms like Google to drive digital transformation.
Anne Adams
Managing Director of Applied Research
Anne Adams, PhD, Managing Director of Applied Research, leads SimpleC’s research operation to assess the feasibility and efficacy of innovative approaches to personalized care. She is responsible for internal and external studies including the application and management of academic research grant awards. Anne drives two SimpleC NIH National Institutes of Health awards.
After studying psychology in Germany and Canada, Anne discovered her passion in human factors & aging. She worked with Mentor and Professor Wendy Rogers, Head of Psychology at Georgia Institute of Technology, to develop the skills required to understand and design products to serve aging adult users, their family and care providers. Anne drives the SimpleC research department to provide clinically tested efficacious therapies. Publishing is a mandate to benefit our industry through the NIH, GSA, GAPNA, Georgia Tech, Veterans Administration, Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland.
Anne received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta and her PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Anne is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (US and Europe), the Gerontological Society of America, and American Psychological Association, Division 21.
Melany Sattler
VP of Clinical Services
Melany Sattler, MSW, Vice President of Clinical Services for SimpleC, directs SimpleC’s Care Team in implementing highly personalized media-driven cognitive therapies. She is responsible for setting the goals and meeting the needs of care recipients, family members and the care providers and contributing to the continual development of SimpleC’s care technology. With 20 years in the field, Melany has extensive direct care experience with seniors and caregivers in both home health and community settings. As a dementia expert, she has presented in over 1,400 meetings with professional caregivers, family caregivers and operations executives. Her passion lies in person-centered care and helping caregivers understand Alzheimer’s and other dementias. She encourages each person to optimize abilities, in order to preserve independence, self-esteem and dignity. Prior to joining SimpleC she was Director of Education for the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter for 10 years. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work; she is a Foundations of Dementia Care Master Trainer, a board member of the Georgia Gerontology Society, board member of the Georgia Institute on Aging, and a member of the advisory committee for the Culture Change Network of Georgia. She is an accomplished support group leader and counselor.
Ingrid Ferbert
Marketing and Customer Relations Manager
Ingrid Ferbert serves as the Marketing and Customer Relations Manager at SimpleC, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous senior marketing roles at prominent organizations such as Reduce, MagMutual, Newell Rubbermaid and First Data.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications, Marketing, and Advertising from Kennesaw State University, along with a certification in Digital Marketing. As a social media expert, Ingrid has completed several courses in digital advertising, video editing, Google ads, and various social media platforms, equipping her with the skills to drive innovative marketing strategies.
Recognized as the “heart” of her previous organizations, Ingrid excels in blending creativity with strategic thinking while fostering collaboration within teams. She is also an active volunteer at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church as an Art Angel and finds joy in serving her community with organizations like Chattahoochee River Keeper, Agape Youth, and the Backpack Project. Her strong leadership skills and positive outlook will add significant value to our marketing and customer-facing initiatives, positioning SimpleC for continued growth and success.
